Your Tax Dollar at Work

The Feds, in their infinite and benevolent wisdom, have determined that Pendroy's tiny post office must have a grid of a certain spacing and angle, painted yellow (not blue) - and a certain approved shade of yellow, mind you - to clearly mark the new ramp of a certain specified maximum slope, constructed to Federal guidelines with an approved finish, so that we rubes don't stumble over the sidewalk on the way to pick up our welfare checks. I feel very cocooned in red tape. Thy rules and thy regs they comfort me; surely OSHA and EPA shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of Bureaucracy forever.
