Engineering? Scotty? Geordie?

Hey look, I know our readership is down, but do I have to start giving out prizes for locating this place? If, like me, your mind turned immediately to the physics of the thing, read the report of a symposium of engineers at this Scientific American site. Interesting thoughts about the raw mechanics of collapse, designing for the new millennium, and the economic value of an office worker's life as viewed by underwriting. Take your mind off " air supremacy" and " round-the-clock air strikes". Have we been down this road before?
