Out of Service, But on Call

We wondered yesterday what 10-10 meant. That is the generic definition, but there are regional dialects even in radio codes. In Texas, for instance, it means "Fight in progress", while in San Jose and Cleveland it means "Bomb threat". In New York City, apparently, you have to know who is on the other end; if a fireman, it means "What is your location?", but if a policeman, "Possible Crime". In other locales, it can mean simply "No".
